I was recently assigned to a fashion shoot by the editor of LondonKicks. It was shot on location in Sloane Square. This was my first fashion, or proper shoot for that matter, and I quite enjoyed it having not previously lent in the direction of fashion photography.

Taken at shutter speed 1/1250, aperture 4.0 and ISO-320. Some curves adjustments and de-saturation in Photoshop.

This was taken near the SouthBank Centre, where I'd been covering Efterklang's gig. First time I've ever done a shoot for a band and photographed their gig. It was an experience. This shot reminded me of the first ever one I posted with my 5D.

Taken at 45mm, shutter speed 1/160, aperture 4.5 and ISO-3200. Some basic curve and level adjustments in Photoshop.

I was out photographing the rally in Trafalgar Square for women's rights in Zimbabwe today. It was a nice little congregation of people holding banners, bellowing the occasional 'Yeeeeah' and dancing to the performers in-between the speeches.

After that we made our way to Westminster and 'bumped' in to (it's not really hard to avoid him) the man you see in the photo. His name is Brian Haw and he has been protesting in Parliament Square for almost 7 years. As my girlfriend chatted away with him and his friend I stood back and took photos.

Taken at 170mm, shutter speed 1/160, aperture 5.6 and ISO-640. A little desaturation, curves adjustments for contrast and colour balancing for tone in Photoshop.

I took my girlfriend, Didi, on a surprise trip to Paris on the 22nd and we spent an awesome weekend there. To be honest I wish I was still there, it was a nice change from London.

Being both photographers, we decided for the most part, not to take our cameras out with us to prevent ourselves from going into 'photography mode' rather than 'lovely weekend in Paris with my girlfriend/boyfriend mode.' So, instead, we bought a disposable camera.

Taken at 24mm, shutter speed 1/320, aperture 4.0 and ISO-400. Some curve adjustments in Photoshop.

This was taken a few weeks back and has been sitting on my computer since then as I couldn't quite decide whether or not I liked it.

I have the exif data on the original on my external hardrive, but it's decided not to turn on today (it does this sometimes). Some curves, colour balancing and de-saturation in photoshop.

We've been given another assignment from University. This time it's a personal project, meaning we can do it on whatever we want. I decided to concentrate on the similarities between dogs and their owners. Keenan, whom you see in the photo, lives about 2 minutes away from me and is the owner of this Canadian Newfoundland, Bruno.

Taken at 84mm, shutter speed 1/320, aperture 4.0 and ISO-400. Some curves and levels adjustments and a slight de-saturation in photoshop.

We had some extremely foggy weather today so I decided to visit the park to take a few shots. It was amazing watching these birds being feed by the person you see in the photograph. Hundreds of them would glide, swoop and dive frantically - disappearing and reappearing in and out of the fog - every time she cast the bread out of her hand into the water.

Taken at 24mm, shutter speed 1/400, aperture 4.0 and ISO-200. Some curves and level adjustments in Photoshop.

Allow me to introduce you to Kyle. I've known him for several years now and he is mostly to blame for my dabblings' in - and now obsession with - photography. Having practiced it since he was a child, he is my greatest critic and above all a great friend.

Taken at 24mm, shutter speed 1/80, aperture 4.0 and ISO-1600. Some curves, levels adjustments and slight desaturation in Photoshop.

Another photo for my portraiture assignment. This is my friend, Ben, who's doing the same course as I am. He's quite handy when it comes to photography as he works as a model and has no problem being photographed.

Taken at 35mm, shutter speed 1/6400, aperture 4.0 and ISO-1000 (kinda contradictory settings, I know..). Nothing adjusted in Photoshop.
